Bloggers For Positive Global Change Award

Wow, I'm one of the first people to receive this new award,I have been nominated by The Alien Next Door , who is an extraordinary blogger as she is actually from Mars and is just visiting this planet. I have only recently come across the alien, who is currently visiting Canada, and found her blog to be a really interesting read. As not only is she passionate about this planets environment she is also an accomplished writer of fascinating Science Fiction stories.

The award is the brain child of Climate Of Our Future to commemorate blogger's efforts around the world to share their knowledge, thoughts and inspirations in making this a better, healthier, more sustainable world.

So, in keeping with the participation rules below-- I, in turn, pass this Bloggers for Positive Global Change Award to the following 5 bloggers:

1 Our Little Corner Of Paradise Who in 1990, as they were driving through a little village in Scotland, they noticed a quaint old barn with a corrugated roof, and a newly-built house adjacent to it. They were standing on a large plot of land, full of pernicious weeds in a corner of a farmer's field. When they saw the "For Sale" sign, four months later they moved in and decided to create a garden for wildlife. 17 years later the garden has matured into a haven for wildlife, showing that you can have a beautiful garden for humans and wildlife.

2 Downshifting Path To Simplicity A couple who are working to progress towards living a sustainable healthy life, making a living and creating a life, leaving smaller footprints on the earth. It is their hope that the smaller footsteps will gain momentum and leave large imprints of conscious living to enable children to enjoy the beauty and abundance that surrounds us.

3 Wiggly Wigglers I Have known Heather, the founder of Wiggly Wigglers for a number of years. Even though Wiggly Wigglers is a natural gardening company, Heather is not a person who enjoys hours of conventional gardening - mowing the lawn, planting the hanging baskets - no, not for her. What she does love is providing a space for nature. For Heather there are few moments better than getting close up to a woodpecker on a feeder; standing under bats swooping on a summers evening; wandering through the wildflower meadow buzzing with bees; worm composting the kitchen and office waste to grow salad leaves and cut flowers -she likes a Garden with a Purpose. Of course, it needs to look good too! Heather is the forefront of using modern technology to promote and get the word out about her company Wiggly Wigglers , she also produces a weekly Podcast which is like The Archers ,but real...

4 The Accidental Environmentalist a fascinating blog packed full of useful everyday ideas on how to make less impact on this world. There are plenty of links to other environmental sites so there is something for everyone.

5 World Wildlife Foundation News a news blog dedicated to informing the world what is happening to its creatures. The World Wildlife Foundation painstakingly selects the land programmes and the most critically endangered animals grouping them into a 100 List. They will present to you their 100 List every year or whenever necessary, it will be an imperfect presentation and you may not agree with the entire list, but they will strive to do their best. As an animal charity, they rely on the support and donations of others in order to pursue their causes. Saving these endangered animals is not an easy task. You will note throughout their site that there are many obstacles that must be overcome in order to achieve their goals and they have to set about tackling these obstacles in the correct way if they are to achieve a lasting success.

Fellow Positive Global Change Award recipients, it’s easy to participate in this meme. At minimum, you can proudly display the BPGC badge( Click here for the image url )on your blog and bask in the glow of our collective good will. If you are sharing the kudos, however, please make sure you pass this list of rules to the blogs you are tagging. The participation rules are simple:

1. When you get tagged, write a post with links to up to 5 blogs that you think are trying to change the world in a positive way

.2. In your post, make sure you link back to so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.
